Deutsche Bahn Noise control demonstration
To demonstrate the noise control measures taken by Deutsche Bahn, KUK Film worked together with the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute to produce an interactive media station and a 180° panoramic film.
This involved two days of shooting with two Omnicam panorama cameras and four 3D sound systems recording over 40 goods trains and ICEs as
they pass. The presentation includes information about Deutsche Bahn, where visitors can interactively compare the effects of soundproof walls, whisper brakes and track covers. You can also experience real-life noise control measures with the panorama projection and IOSONO sound in TimeLab in Berlin.
360 degree production – Deutsche Bahn Lichtenrade
In order to bring to life both the current situation and the planned redesign of Bahnhofstraße in Berlin Lichtenrade as realistically as possible, a panoramic production was commissioned by Deutsche Bahn in co-operation with the Fraunhofer HHI Berlin. This was combined with spatial sound reproduction through the use of wave-field synthesis. KUK Film was responsible for the shoot in Berlin, the video post-production and the programming of an interactive station.
